Forged from purpose.
Built for impact.

Iron Armour Academy was born from a conviction that every young Australian deserves a trusted adult in their corner — someone who believes in them unconditionally and helps them forge their own path.

From one mentor to a national movement

Iron Armour Academy began in 2012 when Dr. Marcus Webb, a youth justice worker in Melbourne's western suburbs, noticed a pattern: the young people who turned their lives around almost always had one thing in common — a trusted adult who believed in them.

Starting with just 12 volunteer mentors and three partner schools, the Academy developed a structured, evidence-based approach to mentoring that went beyond casual support. We trained mentors rigorously, matched them thoughtfully, and measured outcomes relentlessly.

The results were undeniable. Today, Iron Armour Academy is recognised as Australia's #1 youth mentoring program, operating in every state and territory, with over 5,000 young people mentored and outcomes that lead the sector.
